I almost ordered the FXD, but the tank console on the FXDC sold me. I’ve been thinking of putting on a pair of 61-62 FL model badging on the side of my tank. Just concerned about if the I’ll notice a discoloration in the paint where my stock emblems were. I have to update my videos. Now, baffles are gone:) Sounds wicked awesome:) And I got a new seat and small sissy bar.

Tank emblem? On mine? Actually, I’m not too fond of mine. It’s different. I like alot of other tank emblems on Harley’s better than the one found on the SuperGlide Customs.

My saddlebags are not detachable. I could have ordered the detachable ones, but chose not to. I sometimes wish I did. That rear spoke wheel is a bitch to clean! Haha

have a question….are they detachable sidebags right?r they safe?i mean don’t u think someone can steal them?

Red Hot Sunglo??? Love that color! Damn… She is going to be sweet! Ha ha I know how you must feel, especially with the 26th right around the corner… Sorta like a proud papa lol:) I served in the military and ordered mine while stationed in Kuwait back in ‘07. I wish now that I’ve been back and saw the red hot sunglo on Harley that I’d have choosen that color. It’s my favorite. I love my vivid black, but damn… Ha ha It shows everything! You’ll have to get a video. Take care and good luck!

Before I ordered mine, I used to always dream of owning a Softail… Softails are cool I think and someday, I still want one. But I love my Dyna. The Dyna family is more simple. They’re less refined and more primal:) I guess you could say they are H/D’s version of the muscle car lol, born to run:) Thanks for the compliment and best wishes to your very own Dyna. Good luck and ride safe. It is a war out there! Ha ha ha

Thanks for the reply Dyna…I ended up ordering the HD forward controls, Vance HS slip-ons with quiet baffles, SE air cleaner kit, an ecm stage 1 download, and red hot sun glo paint. With a build date of feb 24th and delivery of the 26th of Feb. I’m getting a little anxious to get this 09 in my garage. It’s a nice upgrade from my 07 Sporty custom for sure.

I have the Harley forward controls. Everything on mine is geniune H-D with the exception of the Vance and Hines air cleaner, fuel pak, and Big Radius exhaust. I’m 6′0″ and the forward controls from Harley are quite comfortable. That was my first install. The factory mid mount pegs definitely were not for me. Haha I do love the engine guard with highway pegs. To me it’s a must for long distance, but for everyday cruises, I’m happy with my forward controls. Let me know which you choose.

I have an 09 Superglide Custom coming soon and I was wondering if those were the Harley forward controls or another brand. I’m 6′1 and I wanted to make sure I didn’t need the extended type. Nice ride you have there.

Harley told me the remap is awesome, that there is no hardware left on the bike, but it can be expensive. The FuelPak and V&H air cleaner together ran me about $500 purchased and installed and I’m completely satisfied with it. The FuelPak is right under the seat. And I have noticed an increase in performance especially straight off the line with the V&H goodies:)

Hello. The dealer advised me to get a free flowing air cleaner and either get the fuel system remap, or have the Vance and Hines FuelPak installed or the DynoJet Power Comander. I went with Vance and Hines all the way on mine. I remember the instructions I got with the pipes also recommended doing something with the stock air intake and fuel system. I’m unsure how it would run with only the pipes installed on a stock programmed computer.

Hey. After u put the big radius pipes on did u have to remap the fuel injection or do anything to it. Or does it run fine without doin anything?

But the baby apes look awesome and I bet it feels great over the stock mini pull back. Ha ha I’ve soon got to do something with mine. Winter is the time to do it too.
November 13th, 2009 at 3:43 am
Hi, if i had to do it all over again i would of put 14″ apes instead of baby apes 10.5″
November 13th, 2009 at 4:05 am
Not bad… Ha ha I love your apes. I’ve been wanting a set. I’m still not too fond of the 2 into 1 exhaust though. I just like the look of the 2 into 2 a little better. I guess it’s just got to grow on me a little bit. LOL Nice SuperGlide though. And it sounds nice, but I still like mine:)

My 07 is better check it out.

Thanks! Big Radius all the way:) Ha ha Big Radius talks. In my other video, I ran out of real estate. Ha ha I’ll try to get one soon under a harder acceleration. In my opinion, that’s where those pipes really talk:)

Sweet ass ride man!!! Big Radius is definatly the way to go…5 starz

I put forward controls on mine. At the same time, I went ahead and installed the chrome inner primary. The forward controls are a relative easy install. The inner primary gave me a little bit of a fit. There is a tool someone sells, but I couldn’t find it. It’s a bar that locks the clutch hub with the compensator sprocket inside the primary. Both the clutch hub and compensator sprocket have to be removed in order to take off the inner primary.

I love the tail light you have on yours. Right after I ordered the leather saddlebags for mine, Harley came out with the Distressed Leather bags. Damn it! LOL I love the look. My next install will be a set of mini apes, similar to your Street Bob. Mine is comfortable, but I want them a little higher.

Nice bike! I need to get some saddle bags.
